I leased a place in Santa Cruz (Silicon Valley 45 minutes away). I had found Colorado Springs a little isolated and I thought I’d grown up enough to handle the California crazies; actually, I was beginning to like them. And no, I didn’t worry about earthquakes, although as it turned out, I should have. I packed my most cherished — Snuffles, my Compaq SLT, my HP LaserJet II, and a few new market research studies — into my new Miata. |
